I am a hard to pleased foodie, especially on Chinese food. Ever since I came to Melbourne I have been looking for food which can remind me of home.
I went to this place by accident, and didn’t expect anything interesting.
It’s a Malaysian restaurant, but when I sat down I found out it has a lot of Cantonese cuisine on it which intrigued me a lot. The soup they serve is one of my favourite soup, the stir-fried was slightly different from the dried one I used to have back home, but there’s no doubt that it’s delicious.
Value for money!
I had a gooood meal in just $8.5! And the best part is you get a free sweet corn and chicken soup with every meal, how cool is that! And like any typical Asian restaurant, they have an elaborate menu with images beside every dish so youre not in for any surprises!
Food 3.5/5

Ambience 1/5
Value for money 5/5
Had a mapo tofu rice dish and it was served with beef skirt instead of the traditional minced beef. I don’t think any restaurant owner should have mapo tofu on their menu if they are too lazy to use minced beef for a mapo tofu dish because skirt beef mapo tofu is not mapo tofu. Was disappointing to say the least although i probably should have looked harder in the photos.
I saw that some dishes were labelled (hot) so i thought it’d be safe to assume the ones not labelled weren’t hot, so i ordered a thai beef fried rice for my boyfriend who is white and cant handle spice, and he couldn’t eat it and had to order something else. This inconsistency in labelling was pretty irritating.
Anyway apart from those problems the quality of food is decent, the thai beef fried rice was pretty good and i would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for some cheap chinese meals.
