LIFT YOUR GAME
Extremely disappointed with Babalui’s Pizza Bundoora.
This was once our favourite family take away pizza shop… But not anymore.
The new owners and workers have ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE OF URGENCY.
Staff just walk about as though they are taking a leisurely stroll.
How can 3 pizza’s take 40minutes to cook?????

Great pizza, fresh ingredients, awesome flavour. The base is a thicker base- but they keep the quantities and quality of the toppings at a balanced level to the base. I ordered a small prosciutto and it was enough for 2 people or 2 meals. Filling and tasty.
The gnocchi was a bit gritty and the carbonara was oily. Sauce flavour was good but the gnocchi was very average.
The chocolate mousse was incredible!
Waited an hour and a half for delivery on a Monday night. Fair prices for overall good quality. I’d steer clear of pasta and stick to their pizzas and pick up if ya can.
Love there new range of pizzas, specially Adana Kebab , Country and Tandoori Chicken. Full of flavour and Pizza base is awesome, Light but not dry…and best of all its not oily.
What the hell happened?! My boyfriend and I always loved the taste of these pizzas but now that the owners have changed, so has the quality. We ordered an Aussie as usual but we may as well have eaten plain dough – it was that bland. Although admittedly the place was busy when we placed our phone order, we were still waiting for our order an extra 20 minutes on top of a 20 minute expected wait time and the lack of enthusiasm in their work did not help. It was a disaster and a real shame as their pizzas used to be the best we have ever eaten.
Since it is such a recent changeover, perhaps it just needs time to settle in, otherwise I would suggest going to other pizzerias.
We are regular on Babaluis and have found their Pizzas to be nice, for some reason our kids were never too fond of them. This weekend we took 3 Family pizzas and wow! they taste great! kids loved them too. Pizzas have lot more flavour, and not doughy (as my daughter said) Fabulous!
The pizza from babas used to be amazing. We would come at least once a week. Now there are new owners and like every ingredient on the pizza is rubbish. It Is so so obvious they’ve switched to cheap ingredients and the base is disgusting. Never ever again.
My go to pizza place in Bundoora, crappy places like dominos and pizza hut have nothing on places like babaluis. Had a family half specia; half BBQ chicken and absolutely devoured it the other day. Will be back.
