Let me just premise this by saying that we’re no Devonshire tea connoisseurs so we put you on your guard with this review! Our Devonshire tea naivety would make most grandmas tremble in their dressing gowns if they knew I ordered a soy flat white coffee for my ‘tea’. But surely they’d forgive me if they knew how much I loved my hug-worthy warm GARGANTUAN scone (no way possible for me to eat the whole thing myself – so if you’re not a big eater, share that sucker with your partner or the person on the table next to you), which was accompanied by a berry jam and dollop of cream. The server was super nice to let me know (although I already knew) that there was no dairy alternative to my cream – she just wanted to make sure I was aware because she noted I ordered the soy coffee. I must say that was quite attentive for a little cafe tucked inside an old historic building (which by the way, you should check it out on a lazy weekend if you’re looking for a cheap thing to do – gold coin donation optional to meander through the house) which is also tucked away inside the middle of a housing estate in the Northern ‘burbs. Of course, we can’t speak for anything else on offer at the cafe, but if you’re anywhere in the area, it’s worth a visit!

Charming little cafe with a great view if your lucky enough to get your hands on a window table. Great size meals for a great price in my opinion, espeshally my favorite the spinach & feta frittata! Very friendly staff, always a smile with the service. All up a very down to earth little hide away if you ask me.

Lovely ye olde worldy cafe smack bang in the middle of suburbia. The dining area is quite charming/old fashioned, given that this is a converted homestead. You can also wander around the entire house and check out the art work. Food-wise, the prices are extremely cheap, which reflects the smallish portion sizes of what’s on offer. Don’t expect a gigantic side-salad, for example. However, there was plenty of room for dessert! The only drawback… the dining room gets a bit noisy.
