So we came here today for lunch, it was pretty quiet but I actually prefer it to be a bit more quiet then super busy, the view from the restaurant is nice and naturey which is always nice! We had the focaccia, spaghetti bolognese and a side of chips.
The focaccia dough was beautiful and seeing the guy make it and throw the dough around was really cool! It was a bit oily and would of been better with cheese, will make sure to get cheese next time! The spaghetti bolognese wasnt that great but the fresh basil made it a little tastier, all up its a nice cheap eat and would come back but the food could be better
Very much like a fancier style of La Porchetta if you prefer not to go too La Porchetta food quality however is a little above average a good quick feed when nothings planned not even a night out.
Awesome pizza at this little hidden gem in the northern suburbs
Be sure to order the sopressa pizza you cant go wrong
Been here for breakfast to and cant complain plus they have the cheapest coffee in melbourne $3
La Salita | Bundoora
Okay so today I went out for lunch with my sister & we wanted to go somewhere close for a quick bite so we chose La Salita in Uni Hill Bundoora.
I’ve been here a couple of times before and I’ve yet to be disappointed. The staff are so friendly everytime & the food is delicious.
Favourite items on the menu that you MUST try are the mussels & eggplant chips (two seperate items, though I’m curious what a fusion would taste like )
I’ve been trying to get fit and healthy so that has meant eating out less, but today I made an exception and ordered a Mediterranean Salad while my sister had the chicken pizza.
The chicken in my salad was delicious, but I’m not going to lie, I’m not a fan of cos lettuce and it is very balsamic heavy. I didn’t end up finishing it all, but I enjoyed it none the less knowing that at the very least it wouldn’t burden my waistline. Probably wouldn’t order the salad again, but I know I’ll definitely be back – probably for mussels and eggplant chips
A great local pizza/pasta restaurant with wood fire pizza and beautiful pasta. However it does get very busy and noisy, it is a family friendly restaurant and quite echoey. But the food is great and I always enjoy watching the pizza chef make the pizza with his tricks
The taste and presentation of the food is amazing! The customer service is also quite good. Definitely a great place to eat and enjoy a dine in experience.
I have been a regular at La Salita since it opened. I have always enjoyed my time there and had come to know the owners (Felice) well.
Unfortunately, I went with some friends on Thursday and have never experienced such rude service. I had ordered a goats cheese pizza however, it was really burnt. I didn’t want to make a fuss (& I was extremely hungry) I ate some. When they collected the plates I simply informed the waitress, not wanting anything in return but to let them know, that it was burnt. She stared at me, never responded or acknowledged what I had said and just walked away. My friend even commented on the rude behaviour. This is a real shame as it definitely ruined our night.
