Tried both the Laksa Johor and Laksa Singapore in the same visit. Johor was interesting with spaghetti used as a base, topped with a delicious concoction of fish and bean sprouts. Loved the Singapore Laksa too – good amount of seafood and rich broth, perfect for a windy winters day washed down with teh tarik and coupled with warm, friendly service. Will be back to try other items on the menu!

Really lives up to its name tag as a hidden gem of the Northern Suburbs. Fairly low-key, casual atmosphere that provides you with a first-class culinary experience. Amazing, authentic Malaysian food that was super tasty and relatively inexpensive. The only thing that brought it down from 5 stars was a slight lack of flavour with the dry laksa and the jumpot jumpot. Other than that, everything else was brilliant and I am definitely keen to eat there again.

Located in Bundoora this cute restaurant will make you feel like youre in an exotic cafe. When you first enter the ambiance is all about the greenery. There are big windows which brings great natural lighting and the poles of vines are an absolute standout.

We ordered the dry laska – spaghetti, herbs, mackerel and fish paste which was quite interesting. Something Ive never had before.

You cant go to a Malaysian restaurant and not order migoreng! We ordered the Maggi Goreng with a fried sunny side egg on top. The yolk of the egg makes such a different to the whole dish. It becomes so creamy and egg, I love it! The flavours of the migoreng was spot on. There were a mixture of fish cakes and chicken throughout. I love a good noodle dish were you just explore the dish and find so much different ingredient weaved through the noodles. I enjoyed the nice little crunches of cabbage and I usually hate bean sprouts but it gives that subtle texture to the whole dish. Luckily the migoreng was really flavourful which overpowered the beansprout taste.

Overall, nice flavours and combinations if you like bold flavours definitely try out this place. I would defs return to try more dishes

Well lit and airy restaurant. We were seated
    quickly.

They were out of most of the curry puff. Only thing left was the sweet potato. It was okay.

The johor laksa was enjoyed by most in the group. The lontong was very water and not as creamy as expected
The mee bandung was a bit sweet for us.
The winner was the nasi tomato which was nice.

Considering that we drove on average 45 minutes to get there. It was slightly disappointing as the reviews have been great.

It might be that our expectations were high and ordering the wrong food.

We are unlikely to be making the trip back again

Had a decent seafood laksa. Service was prompt and decor was nice. Restaurant is in a convenient location. Prices were reasonable too. Would come back again if in the area
