Nice clean for out. Had the cheesy toast which was nice, I thought needed more cheese on it. Chips were good and for $3 can’t go wrong. Probably 3.5 I think, and I would go back and try other things and I could see my rating maybe go up.

I decided to try out Lokall for lunch today, and it definitely exceeded my expectations! I was greeted and made welcome by lovely staff who were very attentive. It seems that they even know their regulars by name too which is awesome.The decor is modern, clean and very spacious. There’s relaxing music which adds to the atmosphere and I noticed that many of the orders they get are for takeaway (due to being located in a business park), however it’s lovely to sit in.I ordered the popular Chicken Katsu Sandwich which was so delicious. The portion of the katsu chicken was massive! It was cooked to perfection, I think the sandwich would be great toasted too (not sure if they do that). I also tried the Beef Noodle Salad which was full of flavour, very light and refreshing. My latte was perfect too with cute coffee art.Overall, I’d highly recommend this if you’re looking for a new lunch spot in the Richmond/Burnley area. I’ll be back next time to try one of the brown rice bowls for sure!
I called into Lokall for a cheese toastie on the recommendation of several of my work colleagues. I liked the look of the fresh salads and “Japanese styled” western menu here. My cheese toastie came on thick cut Japanese style white bread and was generous on cheese and wonderfully toasted. There was a layer of American style mustard under the cheese which was a nice finish and a small side of pickles to give some texture. Would I eat this again? Absolutely!!!
