THE MOST BLAND POLLO AVOCADO PASTA AND WORST I CANT BE BOTHERED SERVICE EVER.
The service is snarky and mean. The Asian lady working the front of the cafe was very blunt and clearly pissed off at her job. We were charged an extra $1 service fee for eating-in yet had to remove the half drunk glasses already on the table ourselves and was never served water during our meal. They can take my $1 because I definitely wont be back.
My boyfriend and I came in to order from the a la carte menu in the front (casual) part of the restaurant. It was our first time and we noticed the fancy bit at the back. We ordered a Pollo Avocado with tortellini and it came out looking nice… BUT, the horror starts there. The dish was lukewarm despite being cooked fresh from the kitchen. The sauce for the pasta was the worst my partner and I have ever had (very bland!). No chicken flavour and the most severe error was it was bland and under seasoned. This was the first time in my life I had actually used the salt and pepper shakers at the table to season my own food. Unfortunately because the pasta was not hot, the salt granules remained undissolved and crunchy in my pasta. If the chef had tasted the sauce he would have very obviously detected the lack of flavour and even just salt… but clearly they were even too lazy to taste it. The chicken was very dry and worst of all it was cold in the middle. It was very obvious the chicken pieces were roasted god knows when and taken straight from the deli section of their cafe and straight into the pasta. The saddest thing was the obvious I dont care attitude about this place. The cold leftover chicken pieces werent even warmed through the sauce and thats why the whole sauce was lukewarm when it came out and continued to get colder and colder rapidly.
The only redeeming factor and the reason for one star is the Hawaiian pizza had generous topping and was cooked crunchy on the top and bottom. We both agreed it was good value for $15.50 but we were so put off by all the other disasters (service and pasta) we probably would not return.
Please save your money and go somewhere else. No one deserves to be treated like they are being annoying when they dine at a restaurant and customers shouldnt have to eat food the chef has clearly put no mind in making.
