Came here because we had an Entertainment Book voucherand probably wouldn’t go out of the way to come here otherwise as the quality isn’t amazing. The highlights are the cooked noodle dishes and sashimi
Im going to be honest, this place is overrated and overpriced.
For a buffet at $60+ per head I expected a lot more, there are $30 per Head buffet venues in Melbourne that poo all over this place.
Total churn and burn, no customer service!
It like walking into an asian sizzler, I will not be going back for any reason!!!

A friend informed me in December the quality had improved a lot so had to check it out during lunch service – and it was true !
I found the layout is basically the same (compared to years ago) except for the Sushi Counter that had been removed. Major improvements were found in the taste, quality and texture of the Dim Sum and Desserts. For example, the Custard Bun is oozing with Salty Egg rich goodness and theres an Oreo dessert shaped like a pot plant. I dont know how people do the Dinner service, I did a little research and there is just so much extra food !
Heaps of dishes on offer during lunch including Crispy pork, Roast duck, Soy Chicken, BBQ Pork, Honey chicken, Fried rice, Stir fried noodles, Seafood, Sushi, Steak, Dim Sum, Buns, Desserts and more.
A wide range of fresh seafood, roast duck, roast pork, stir fry, dim sum and desserts are available to be packed on to your plate. The wagyu beef was the highlight, it was tender and cooked medium-well done. Staff are attentive.
Finally went to try their buffet for dinner last night. However I was quite disappointment with the selection of food offerings for the price we paid ($68 per person on Saturday / $65 every other day). 🙁 For the price I was expecting a wider & better selection of food to try.
The seafood was nice and fresh, but the hot food lacked some variety (with most sauces in the dishes tasting the same). Would probably be more worth it to go for their lunch buffet ($36 Mon – Fri / $39.5 Sat – Sun). Staff were super friendly though which was a plus!!
Lotsss of dim sums to choose from at the ChinaBar Signature buffet. They have a big variety of food choices and always lots of people. Nice mini desserts and look very cute.
