Tried their century egg and pork congee and beef crepe. The congee lacked flavour and the rice was not cooked down enough. The beef crepe was decent. An average and reasonably priced food court meal.
Every time I shop in East Burwood I always pass this place and Ive always wanted to try it. Today I was hungry between lunch and dinner time so I decided to get a snack.
I ordered the braised beef pancake because it was $4 and the perfect size for a snack. When I received my pancake I noticed it was wrapped like a kebab and it looked nothing like the picture. I was disappointed because the filling was mostly lettuce but what little beef there was did taste delicious, I really could taste the five spice. The pancake itself was a nice slightly crispy texture. As much as I enjoyed my pancake, it was nothing like the picture so it left me a bit disappointed.
The people working here were aloof, a smile wouldnt hurt. Id probably try something else from here when Im in the area and hungry but I wouldnt go out of my way.
Great place for a late night snack. Opened til pretty late. Food here is very nice and the prices are good too. I always grab a bite to eat after I do my grocery shopping at Coles
I was so looking forward eating here because we pass this place all the time and it always looks popular and the pictures look amazing and the price is so cheap. We had the congee which was ok but we needed to put soy sauce because it was a bit bland. We had beef pancake and chicken kim chi pancake. They are pretty small and i cannot say that they are anything special. Pretty disappointed. And service was not the best either. We asked for our crepes to be cut and they did not do it straight away so they forgot to do it and we waited for a while and have to ask again and they got confused what we were talking about. Lots of staff but seemed disorganised.
Better than the pancake parlour and priced better too.
With the most expensive thing on the menu being $9 and the cheapest $4.50 it is perfect for families wanting a quick meal for the kids. Coming in savoury and sweet why not go for dinner and stay for dessert!!! My personal fave is Bananarama as pictured.
Honestly my favourite thing about this place is the fact it opens till quite late (10/11) most nights. And secondly the price, super cheap and reasonable with tasty food. Personally this place does the best congee I’ve had in Melbourne (personal preference of congee that have rice pieces instead of chopped finely and soup like and chicken with century egg instead of pork) Bubble tea here is also acceptable, the people are nice here overall just a good time every time I’ve been here! The sets are also really filling and good value for money.
Had the crispy crepe, century egg porridge and beef pancake. Was quite fresh and tasty. The service was quick and efficient.
Total cost: $14
Value for money: 5/5
Food: 3.5/5
