I had a terrible coughing fit at this cafe whilst recovering from the flu, leaving me completely drained. I couldn’t fault the behaviour of the wonderful staff during this episode. I wouldn’t normally attempt to eat after this but my BLAT was so good I scoffed the lot.
Our local reliable coffee haunt has not let us down.
To have a dedicated well trained coffee maker here makes me feel certainty in what we receive. A family run business that has continued to work extremely hard here.
The steak sandwich is generous and full of the right flavour balance.
Option to eat or coffee outside.
Friendly and engaged with their customers.
Drove passed and thought we’d give it a go. Probably instantly regretted it but were too polite to leave. It was dead quiet which isn’t always a bad thing but felt like it was because we were one of the few customers. Food wasn’t terrible but it’s definitely not the raving reviews going around. The place needs a decent clean and maybe some help with decent customer service. In comparison to camberwell cafes, this place is going to not going to be on my regular list.
Went in to get some lunch in the hour we had spare before needing to be somewhere. Was not particularly busy. Waitress took our order and about 10 mins later our drinks came. We sat and waited for another 35 minutes and just as we were about to ask where our food was the waitress realised that she had never bothered to actually place our order with the kitchen. She said it would take at least another 10 to 15 minutes to receive our food – which meant that we had to leave without ever getting it.
Whilst she did apologise, they still charged us fill price for our cuppas – which given their stuff up and the fact that we would now not be getting any food before our appointment was really poor customer service.
To make matters worse they had what we can only assume was a ‘regular’ customer who felt the need to stick his nose in. When we expressed our disbelief at the bad customer service he ended up abusing us with homophobic comments. The cafe staff just watched on as he verbally threatened 2 women.
Great cozy atmosphere, very chilled and welcoming. Great little put side court year which would be superb on a warm Sunday morning. staff were friendly and food was decent in particular the Roti wrap
This is my new favorite. Very affordable and surprisingly not at all busy on weekends. Lots of seating both indoors or outdoors in the courtyard. Beautiful and consistently quality lattes. My favorite dish is Eggs Benedict, the eggs are always fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff are lovely and are always happy to see us come back. Try the brownie, they make all of the slices themselves.
Love the back courtyard. The service went down a bit there when they changed owners but it looks like they’ve picked up the slack and it’s back to being a great place with great coffee. It’s a shame they don’t open on Sunday’s
