Chargrill charlie has an interesting selection of grill chicken to choose from. We had a whole chicken, cauliflower salad and some wedges. They were really good and we definire recommend this place.
Chargrill Charlie’s may call itself a charcoal chicken shop but it is so much more. They offer up everything from apple pie to curry and there are so many options that it got a little confusing to be honest. It’s not necessarily a bad thing especially if the quality of food remains consistent regardless of position on the menu – all the more reason to come back and try everything. THis time, we opted for the chicken and chips with portuguese sauce. It had perfect moisture, not too moist and certainly not too dry while the extra crispy skin was the cherry on top. The large portion of chips complemented each bite perfectly, dipped in a range of complimentary sauce.
Someone living in Sydney recommended this place to me as its their favourite charcoal chicken place up there.Walking in, I absolutely loved the ambience- clean, modern, fresh and casual without it feeling like a fast food joint. The feeling when you can tell the food is going to be good.I wasn’t disappointed. We had the Portuguese chicken and some wedges. The chicken was fresh and had a beautiful subtle flavour without it needing to be basted with intense marinades like Nandos does. The wedges were also super crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.It was such good value for money and so tasty, I can’t wait to come back here
