Had a strong cappuccino and it was decent; it had a nice layer of froth and the coffee was quite tasty. However the flavour was a little diluted due to the larger than average cup that the coffee was served in. Even then the flavour profile of the coffee was above standard and had a good after taste.

Stopped on the way here to grab a chai latte. Asked for an extra hot soy chai and it was very hot! Which is exactly what I wanted. Service was very friendly and they looked like they did multiple different coffee beans. Cute shop!

Coffee Max is a hidden gem in the elite Burke Road strip of Camberwell. From the decor to the aroma, entering the store feels like you are totally emmersed in a traditional European coffee adventure. The coffee is one of the finest in Melbourne (think of those places that are passionate and actually roast their own beans and have won awards for their blends).

They also offer lunch items which was fresh and extremely generous on the fillings which is hard to find elsewhere. The bread was tasty with a large amount of smoked salmon and lots of other ingredients. The sweets display was very enticing with lots of variety. The Croissants and Portuguese Tarts were absolutely delicious. Great for the hardcore coffee lover or simply a bite to eat. Overall excellent.
