A Camberwell institution in a grand corner location. Service is excellent, the staff are always polite and treat everyone with respect. Have been coming here for years but on my latest visit this week I found the food quality was not what is to be expected. I ordered a spaghetti carbonara which the portion was great for a entree however the bacon was not crispy and the pieces were not great quality and large pieces.The amount on the plate of poor quality bacon was inedible. The cream sauce was very good as it always has been.
The pizzas ordered were good , but I am a big fan of Sofias pasta carbonara and want the quality back please.
I hope it will be improved so on my return visit I can give the rating this great place deserves. See you soon with high hopes of what brings the crowds in.
