Had walked past this place a few times previously and noticed the long lines, so figured it had to be worth a look. Today had the crispy pork banh mi, definitely on the pricier side of things at $8.50 but stuffed full of salad, a very generous serving of pork as well as extras peanuts which you dont usually get elsewhere. Very tasty.
Was expecting better, but the pre-made rolls really put me off. I was expecting rolls to be made to order as is usual in vietnamese bakeries, but all the partially filled rolls are sitting on the bench waiting for meat fillings. And they’re not generous either. Three strands of carrot and two wilted bits of coriander are not appealing. Don’t know what all the fuss is about. By the time you get it, the rolls are soggy.
