Shocking service, actually there wasn’t any – disappointing for such a small restaurant. Secondly the chicken was raw. Not a great experience – can’t say we will be returning.

The Vegetarian banquet is delicious and the staff are very friendly here. The tofu steak and nasu dengakku are amazing! We have had both eat in and takeaway and the quality is great for both.

Food was great with very friendly service. We had a table of 6 and we shared plates. Some of the mains were hard to
Share amongst 6 but the entrees made up for that. We will definitely be back again, soon I hope

Scallops were nice, Tempura & unagi don were ok, but tataki beef was way too chewy, and the cod was definitely overcooked (was tough). Was overall a little disappointed.. Maybe we just didn’t order the right dishes.

I really liked this place. The environment is comfortable, the staff are friendly and the food was great overall. We ordered Gyoza, Sushi and sashimi, Tempura,Beef teriyaki, steamed riseand green tea ice cream. They Gyoza was cooked well and we liked the flavor and texture. The sushi and sashimi were fresh which is always a good sign. We found the tempura to be cooked as it should be with the batter not too thick but crunchy. The Beef Teriyaki was tender and the green ice cream refreshing. Their prices are also very reasonable for what you get.We will definitely be back.

  • Hello World!

Wafu located in the quiet part of the Bourke Rd, therefore you can always find a table without booking. Their attendants were very friendly! Now for the food, it’s quiet mixed taste. We ordered Gyoza, bento box with beef and pork belly with hot pot. The Gyoza was well fried, but the filling had too much cabbage in it, it tasted a bit crunchy than normal Gyoza. The pork belly with hot pot was not actually in a traditional hot pot with soup base, but a dry fish with braised pork and some bean sprouts underneath. The dish was quite oily, even with a rice. The bento box was actually the better one among the rest. Sashimi was fresh, tempera was crunchy. The beef needed some improvement, as some were well cooked, some were a bit pink and some were hard to chew. Overall it provided a good place for a quick fix. I’m sure if the food improves (less oily) in the future, more customers will come!
