The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but quickly filled up , the food tasted pretty fresh but was not spectacular. The beef we ordered was cooked to perfection but we found the price of the menu very high ..
We were craving some salmon sashimi yesterday and we ended up trying Wafu. The restaurant was very quiet (literally quiet) there was no music on the background that we could literally hear the conversations of those on the opposite end of our table. We ordered their Salmon Sashimi (Main 15 pcs at $25 dollars), taste and texture was pretty average and salmon pieces were a bit thinner than usual, I found it pricey for its quality; then we had the Prawn Tempura (Main 6pcs at 18dollars)- the prawns were too small, the tempura tasted like oil and flour, I could not appreciate the taste of the prawn at all, and the tempura batter was just undercooked; lastly, we had the California Roll (Entre 5pcs for 8dollars) still average, the food just lacked flavour.
We come here regularly. The staff are so lovely and accommodating. We love supporting local families and businesses. The food is classic japanese. We love the sashimi, wasabi prawns and teriyaki beef. The banquet is exceptional value.
