Ismail Tosun has delivered so many Turkish culinary experiences in Melbourne From Gigibaba, Babajan and now Miksa Food truck. He is taking us on a journey of Turkey and this truck is by far my favorite he has had to offer.
Turkish BBQ is on offer the options are Adana, Kofte, fish , Lamb or chicken Shish.
All presented in fresh bread that is baked daily with a salad and sumac onions. Its that simple and they deliver this simplicity amazingly well , its delicious and you will be addicted. If you live close by, this could be a weekly addiction.
They are mobile but have a more stable home in Somerton. I would have loved the location to be in a park or something a little nicer rather than a car park. However, more than happy to eat in the boot of my car and wait as long as I need to, when the food is this good.
Suggest you get there as soon as they open as they get super busy and make to order. My recommendation is the Adana, it is the best Melbourne has to offer. I would love this place even more if they could complete my meal with some dessert.
