Mushroom, spinach slices and sausage rolls also delicious!!!
Coffees and sweet goods are a bit of a miss here but croissants and breads are must if youre in the area.

Filou used to be one of our favourite places to go for French pastries. We loved their chunky and crispy sausage roll, ham and cheese croissant, the quiches, beef pie and choc croissant. They were all yummy… until one day the lady gave us a cold sausage roll and it definitely did not taste good. She was rushing and served us quickly although there was no one else at that time. It’s a pity as we really like their pastries… We might go back one day, and hopefully no more cold sausage rolls!
I honestly had a life changing moment after having my first of their ham and cheese croissants today. Absolutely amazing!
This cafe is only just ok by french standards. I also find it over priced compared to similar cafes. I have the biggest sweet tooth so the beautifully displayed and colourful desserts were my favourite. Coffee pretty average. Was looking forward to the mushroom pastry (I mean who doesn’t like mushrooms) but was not impressed at all. The filling was bland and dense. Will I go again? I’m sure I will.
Best patisserie I have ever been to (and I am quite experienced working in patisserie). Highly recommend the almond croissant – I get one almost every day now! (Very sneaky). The bread rolls too are fantastic. The staff are lovely, I am a regular customer now and have become good friends with the girls working there – bright, lovely smiles and always so kind, asking me how I am going at uni, etc.
I can absolutely, 100% substantiate their claims for the best croissant in Melbourne – it is the best I have ever had. The hand-crafted details of the pastries and cakes are something else, you can tell the patience and love been put into all their range.
Aaah, real croissants on a Sunday morning.. A great way to start the day. Leave the mushroom slice for me, I am not sharing :-). A steady flow of customers from nearby and some travelling from afar, it is always a good experience.
