Great takeaway place, though the dining-in option isn’t great unless you’re sitting outside on a nice day.
Fish is well-cooked, prices are great and staff are friendly.

A great unpretentious little fish and chip joint, the very definition of local. It’s not fancy, just friendly, inexpensive and convenient for takeaways. The sort of thing that makes a neighbourhood.

My husband and I had souvlaki from here, and they were nice overall. I liked that they fried the onion, and the garlic sauce was good and garlicky. The chips were okay, but I’ve definitely had better. The place was clean, but I would get it to take away next time. They used a kitchen timer; which is good for your food, but really annoying when it keeps beeping every two minutes or so. The owners were friendly and polite, and the value for money was great.

If you like your Fish and Chips; cheap, crunchy, greasy and salty then this is the place for you. The batter is thick, crispy and golden. The fish is super cheap and cooked just right. It tastes like the oil does not get changed too often (personally I prefer this), but you will need plenty of napkins. Highly recommend the scallops and mussels. Only negative was the Chips were a bit dry.

I don’t know about the fish chips but the burger and chips pack for $7.90 is the best bargain burger deal on this side of Alexandra Parade! Ask for extra chicken salt.

Terrible!. Used to live in Drummond street and eat here at least once a month. Was the best fish and chips in North Carlton. Now? I have no idea what has happened but we bought grilled whiting, potato cakes and chips and they could not be eaten! Fried in old oil, rubbery and stinky whiting, very greasy. So disappointed! Save your money and eat elsewhere!!! 🙁

Cheap, Decent Fish & Chips. If you’re looking for F&C, hamburgers, chicken schnitzel, or roast chicken at an affordable price… this is it. The souvlaki is just ok, but its lamb-steak chunks, not shaved lamb from the spit. Unpretentious, and doesn’t burn a hole in your wallet. A good place for lunch/dinner before heading to the bars next door, or the ice cream at the gelato shop up the road…
