THE WORST RESTAURANT BY FAR!!! Service was an hour late, there was hair in one of the dish, and to top it off the sauce the used were used from another dish…. please do yourself a favour and never come back here!
Conned into trying this disgraceful restaurant by the lady who offered us a free drink with our main. Should have taken the 0 customers as an indication of the quality we were about to receive!
The foreign staff who could barely speak a word of English served us with a Stella Artois with the lid still on (not a twist top). When we asked the other waitress for a bottle opener she looked at us puzzled trying to work out if we had BYOd the beer.
The Bolognese I ordered tasted like tin meat with tomato sauce, drowning in sprinkled parsley which I assume was to smother the awful taste! And my partners marinara tasted like cold, old and strange tasting seafood. Almost like a frozen packet seafood mix straight from the freezer at Woolies/Coles (unsure if this is intended as a cost cutting measure to stay competitive with their low costs?).
To finish off this awful experience, when we went to pay, they attempted to charge us for the free drinks they lured us in to begin with into this soulless establishment.
I would have rated a 0.5/5 but was forced to rate a 1, although it was not even worthy of this. Dont be fooled by the cunning lady on the door! Theres being frugal and being stupid. Dont be stupid! Youll regret it! Do.not.eat.here.
We were bribed with free drinks and best Parma in town. We waited for our food for 45 minutes only to have very cold Pizza, more like frozen pizza and a weird Parma brought to our table. The chicken looked like processed food and it was very difficult to cut! It couldnt be shredded or chewed. We asked to talk to the chef and he was very rude and told us that they always have fresh supplies but I doubt it!
Never going back!
Learnt my lesson! Always read reviews!
do not go here! Worst service, horrible, old stale food, waited over an hour to be told they have run out so disgusting! totally turned us off our appetite
Was lured in with the chef and free drinks, only to be told they had the best parmas… waited more then an hour to receive our meals, to which they told us three of them couldn’t be made… Parma was cold and to our disgust, RAW! NEVER EAT HERE!
Waited 40 mins and still no food, waiter came out and said the pizza oven had broken down or some crap. He said the food would be another 5 mins, we waited 15 but ended up leaving. The fake chef put the front pissed me off so much I created a zamato account. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE EVER.
Ordered vegan penne which was advertised on the menu. They originally got my order wrong, and brought me a dish topped with cheese. When I pointed out the mistake, the waiter rolled her eyes. My dish finally came (I was served last out of a group of 20 consisting of my family)…… and there were clumps of cheese all through it. I didnt want to spoil our family dinner by creating a fuss so despite 1. the dish clearly not being vegan and 2. me being lactose intolerant, I ate it anyway. Its clear from other Facebook reviews that Im not the first vegan to have received pasta with dairy all through it, and judging by how rudely other customers were ostensibly treated upon raising this issue with the restaurant, I probably did the right thing. It is irresponsible to advertise vegan pasta if you cannot provide it, and to further deceive customers by just stirring dairy into the sauce so that its harder to see is extremely poor form. The pasta was sub-par, even ignoring the fact that I experienced digestive issues after eating it. Go literally anywhere else on Lygon St for better tasting pasta, especially if youre vegan or lactose intolerant. Dont waste your money on a place that tries to cut corners at the expense of customers.
