The aroma that hits you when you walk through the door is worth a visit alone. Affordable, fresh and quick. Lovely staff and accommodating. Will be back for sure.

The food is good (not rivalling Victoria st pho, but still not bad), but it’s the service that really makes this place – its outstanding! Great for a uni lunch and really affordable.

Gorgeous Vietnamese spot! The lady who runs it is outstanding, shes so nice (remembers me everytime I go in, great stories about the village she’s from and huge concern when you’re not well) and makes a mean pho, it’ll cure any illness that ails you, and man it’s delicious. She makes it all her self, including the chilly oil, and my goodness if you ask for it hot, be prepared to lose your throat- so spicy!. Brilliant though. Also fantastic Vietnamese iced coffees, and pretty decent cakes etc. I love this joint, and I think it’s nice to support little independent and owner run places like this. Makes such a nice change from the bland, identical restaurants that line lygon.

Stand out service! Staff were incredibly friendly and there were definitely a lot of regulars there. Decor is very cute and retro, including a little backyard seating area. I only had a drink there, so can’t comment on the food, but there seems to be a heart range of fresh goodies. Will definitely come back next time I need my Vietnamese fix!

Cafe Sua Da has the best Banh Mi I’ve had in a long time. It was pretty cheap, tasted amazing, the staff were really friendly and the service was super quick which was great as I was getting takeaway. Their display is full of delicious looking home made food that I can’t wait to try. I’ll definitely go back 🙂

Lovely little retro cafe between Lygon St and Melbourne University. Beauty is that it’s retro to suit the style of the older couple who run the place rather than anything ‘trendy’ and ‘hip’.

Authentic Vietnamese is the day and the banh mi is excellent – tasty with lots of fresh salad and at $7, excellent value for money. Lots of other items on the menu worth sampling – I’ll be back! 🙂

Very reasonably priced food as well as lovely hospitable service. Their pho is generously sized and flavoursome, and a variety of condiments are offered so that you can customise the heat and flavour to taste. The fried tofu however is bland and chewy.
