Amazing experience at Carlton curry house. Super delicious food, amazing ambience, excellent service and super accomodating for someone with coeliacs. Over all an amazing experience and well priced.
Went to the restaurant for dinner on our wedding anniversary and throughly enjoyed the meal, its highly recommended to all that enjoy great Indian food, will return in the near future.
Well if you havent been here you are really missing something
I am down from Sydney and the authenticity of the food is exceptional.
Wine list compliments the venue well and the service is excellent.
I will recommend this to everyone who comes to Melbourne as a genuine value for money restaurant.
Suits groups, families, couples and solo foodies like myself.

Something different amongst the sea of Italian restaurants on Lygon St is Carlton curry house. I had butter chicken and garlic naan as well as trying my recent obsession Kashmiri naan which is a fruit and nut filled bread and just delicious. I was pleased to see they also have healthy options as well as indo Chinese food (my partners favourite) and some Burmese fusion dishes. Definitely something for everyone and prices pretty standard. Im pretty surprised to see such negative views we certainly both had a pleasant experience and I would have no issue returning
Bitterly disappointed – goat curry was inedible it was so salty. Lamb vindaloo was vinegary and hardly any meat in the curry. Naan was flat and oily. I’ve ordered from here several times and overall they have been okay, but after this last order I think I’m done. It’s just too expensive for this kind of quality (or lack thereof).
