We came here for our anniversary and it was full, there was a line outside but we only waited about 3 minutes before they could find us a seat. The service was lovely, the food was tasty, and the wine was beautiful. I only wish the Salumi board had more greens ! The pizza was a generous and decent size! The downside to this is that they had bar flies hovering around the tables near us (maybe cause we were seated near the toilets?)
$85.00 for 1 pizza, the board, greens and two glasses of red wine.
Definitely would go back to try the other pizzas though!! 🙂

I really wanted to like this place. I’d heard such great things about it but just didn’t enjoy the pizza overall. The FOH staff and waiters are lovely however.
We started with an antipasto board which I enjoyed (love the soft goat’s cheese that came with it) but it really wasn’t exceptional.
For pizzas, we ordered a vegetarian special that came with potato, spinach and cherry tomato. For me, there was no seasoning. It truly needed some salt, and the cheese lacked flavour. Maybe it was the gluten free base, but the dough tasted and felt undercooked and soggy.
The second pizza ordered was one with Italian sausage. I did not eat this but was told that the base was exactly the same as the other.
The salad was actually quite nice however simple. Comprised of spinach, tomato, mozzarella, pine nuts, and a vinaigrette. Hard to mess up really.
Maybe I’ll go back to try it again, and have pizza not on a GF base, but was really a let down given its high rating.
The lasagne was so good! This is amazing because I do prefer vegetarian lasagne.
Ordered:
Pappardelle: with Italian porcini mushrooms, truffle oil in bianco ($25.00)
Lasagne: traditional with bolognese, bechamel ($23.00)
Review:
I havent had gooey cheese with lasange and it’s an absolute game changer. DOC further smashed it out of the park with their rich bolognese and yummy decadent bechamel sauce.
Just with the nature of mushroom pasta, the mushroom was good but the pappardelle was toooooo noodlely for me so I didn’t enjoy it as much 🙁
