Very convenient for Melbourne Uni students. If you need a dumpling fix and you’re in the local area, these guys are pretty cheap and cheerful. Service is friendly enough and I got my takeaway order pretty quickly. On the positive side, the dumplings I got were flavourful and juicy and I woofed them down very quick.
Fast, cheap, no nonsense takeout style place with tables. The dining room feels cramped and can be noisy, so I usually get take out. Nothing sensational, just good consistent Chinese takeaway at reasonable prices. The fried pork noodles are worth checking out.
Where does a broke, hungry, and stressed UniMelb student go when she is craving dumplings? The answer is almost always E Dumpling – take away please – I’ll eat them in the staff room.
Love those fried prawn & chicken dumplings and the steamed buns – custard and red bean, please and thank you.
The food here is extremely good and I come here every day! Nice dumpling and nice person. I highly recommend the dumpling and anyone of the rice dishes!
Food was a pretty decent size and served pretty quickly. Pretty friendly staff with great facial recognition skills (you don’t have to show them the receipt for your order when taking away, even though there’s 5 other people taking away too). Love the seafood fried rice, as it’s the perfect balance of oily goodness and MSG. Egg custard buns were also pretty good. Dumplings were pretty reasonably priced given the large serving portions. Definitely recommend the boiled ones as the pan fried ones are either too lightly fried or slightly burnt.
I had been there last week and the Kitchen was dirty and badly maintained.
Ordered for a normal vegetarian noodle dish and they had no noodles and the dumplings were OK.
Preston has better dumpling place named ONE NOODLE FRIENDSHIP. Will stick on to that place..
Just give a try mates…
The food here reminds me of Northern Chinese cuisine. The prawn and pork wontons in chilli oil and peanut sauce is fantastic if you enjoy spicy food. The fried noodles and fried rice are quite oily but tasty. Overall quick and inexpensive chinese takeaway place with a good chef and great location, makes this a popular place.
