Great craft beers on tap and a decent menu make Markov a nice place for a drink or to hang out and grab something to eat. Definitely worth a go.
Impeccable food and fabulous booze selection!
From the little wild olives to the carrots with smoked yogurt (yummm), buffalo wings, trout salad and roast lamb shoulder (my absolute favourite)…props to the chefs – literally everything I tasted, I thoroughly enjoyed and could not fault. Looking forward to next time….!
Good place to stop after work and enjoying a glass of wine .
The Tatoo girl behind the bar is know exactly what to do!!!
DEFINETLY come back to enjoy this little pearl in Carlton!
The food was great. The prawns would have to be my number one, it was different and delicious. The pastry was so thin I could eat them like chips.
The sauce on the wings had the right amount of kick. The flavour in the sliders was also very good.
I think the croquettes needed a sauce to it but still they were great. And the aioli amazing so much garlic just the way we like it.
Great service, great spot.
Went to this little gem last night and everything about it was fantastic. It’s such a cool, unique little place! All of the wait staff were so lovely. Meals came out quickly, and the Schnitzel was amazing! Great amount of food for the price also. My boyfriend had the burger and he said that was one of the best burgers he has had.
All round great place, recommend trying it for sure!!
I was excited to try the gastro pub fare that Markov is known for. The cauliflower fritters starter didn’t disappoint as I really enjoyed the elegant touch of the spicy salt. The mussels were a let down as it was tasteless albeit the menu described it very differently. This goes for the wild barramundi dish too. The wagyu flank was the highlight of the meal, served with chimichuri that gave a great hit to the tender meat. Overall, visit was good but nothing spectacular. While Markov is a lovely neighbourhood pub and provided a positive experience as a first visit, it isn’t very high on my list of places to come back to. Go if you’re around the area.
Markov is awesome! On Tuesday they go a wagyu burger, chips & pot special for only $15. It is super fresh, the chips are chunky and in my opinion it is one of the best burgers I’ve had 🙂
