It’s a cold winters night with a light drizzle yet there are still those that venture out of some gelato and I’m one of them. This is the place you’d come to after a meal for a refreshing cup or cone with your favourite ice cream. There are ample flavours to choose from and if you’re not sure the team are patient and will help you with little sample spoons to help you decide. But if you’re like me and know what you want the wait can be rather frustrating. There is minimal seating space in this small shop so for most its a walk whilst enjoying your selection!!! Make sure you try this place.
The gelato at Lavezzi Galateria is absolutely delicious. The hazelnut and pistachio gelatos had intense roasted nut flavours which were delightful. The sorbets were refreshing and tangy and surpringly smooth. This is my current favourite gelato joint.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, great range of flavours ( even a moscato gelato) and sizes for servings. Good gelato, would definitely come back.
A newish gelateria on Lygon, which is a bit of a risky move, but they have the goods to back it up.
There is a wide range of flavours as expected, but the staff are so friendly, they don’t make you feel cheap asking for another taste. In fact, I was offered a taste of a similar gelato, which turned out well because I loved it.
The strawberry and basil is mind blowing – initially it’s refreshing with strawberry, but then the aftertaste kicks in and you get …BUBBLE GUM! so good!
The ricotta and pear is also deliciously creamy, with the sweet caramel-like pear folded through.
Went to this Italian gelateria last night and I really enjoyed their gelato! I had pistachio and dark chocolate and they were both really creamy and tasty.
My fav gelateria in Melbourne now. I have been here three times and everytime I always walk out a happy kid. My recommendations:
1. Pistachio
2. Coffee mixed with Oreo
3. Ricotta and Pear
Their gelato are very soft and you could definitely taste the flavours you are expecting. They melt in your mouth straight away. Staffs are very friendly and never mind if we try more than 2 flavours so far.
