Limited range of food looks to be good quality if that’s what you want (I never do), but it’s the coffee they serve that transports this place to another level.
Stainless steel and beech decor, not a beard or a tattoo in sight, so it doesn’t fit the hipster profile, but these people can pull a coffee! Consistent, and full of flavour. Never burnt, frothy, watery, or any of those other sins against the bean, this place is equal to the best around.
Midsquare is a brand new and pocket cute cafe on the ground level of some fancy Appartment blocks. Sitting in a prime Carlton location they have some pretty tough coffee competition nearby so it’s great to see that they can really stand their ground.
The coffee is strong and tasty. They bottle their own single origin cold drips daily in very nice bottles to grab and go (or stay in and enjoy it over ice). The food menu is simple but tasty. We loved the layout too! While there are only a couple of tables, the setup is pretty lush. Staff are friendly and really love what they do – I probably spent a little too long talking with them. We will be back again soon!

Love the sandwiches, they are very tasty and make for a quick lunch. The staff are always friendly, nice coffee too! Come visit when you’re in the area.
Best coffee I’ve ever had hands down! If you’re looking for a good cup definitely go here if you’re in the Carlton/Melbourne Uni area. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
