Came back for an açai bowl after having an amazing one previously. The açai bowl was extremely watery and granola was missing 🙁 but the blueberries were large and crunchy 🙂
It’s extremely hard to come by food that’s not only reasonably priced, but also quality, in Carlton. For a student precinct, the gastronomic scene around Melbourne Uni is dire. I left Seven Seeds highly disturbed after witnessing several flies cover their sandwiches, and reluctantly headed to Stovetop. Mood Food, just a couple of doors down from Stovetop, caught my eye and I headed in for a peek. I was pleasantly surprised by the range of simple and healthy meals available – from chia seed pudding to salad to sandwiches. All looked freshly made, and the best thing was they were all reasonably priced. I paid $6.50 for my pudding, and the sandwiches were around $8-$9. I’ll make the call that this is the cheapest place in the area, with quality food to boot. A new favourite when I’m at work.
