Visited stovetop today. I like the dishes that they prepared . I ordered the Thai style Crispy pork belly with a poached egg on the top. The food is really tasty and I was quite full after I finish my one. The food is well presented so if u looking for Instagram fotos , it is a good choice. I like it here because we didnt need to wait long to get a table in a Sunday afternoon and the food quality is good. #brunch #melbourne #coffee #foodie #instagramphoto

Ambiance 5: this was a popular spot, bustling for a Friday afternoon!
Food 5: this restaurant has nailed it on the food front. The highlight was their new special dish: miso salmon with crumbed soft boiled egg. Thanks to the curing process, the salmon was firm but meltingly soft, which contrasted perfectly to the puffed rice. The sauces and egg made for an adventure of flavours around the plate. The mushroom and halloumi burger hit the spot, it was a satisfying feed even for a meat eater! The filter coffee was well done and their namesake coffee – stovetop brewed – was a unique cafe experience. For dessert we had their hot peaches with icecream and candied walnuts- the cold icecream on the hot peaches was fantastic and it was the perfect way to finish a great meal.
Service 5: the coffees and food came exceptionally quickly. Even though they were busy, no one had to wait long for their food to come!
Fun fact- stovetop is a family run business by two brothers who have a few cafes in the area. We will definitely be checking out their other cafes!
