Had dinner here on a Monday night as suggested by my coworker. We arrived before 6pm and the place was still empty, not long after it was full. This is a very small restaurant with around 20 seats so better to get in early. They are doing Chinese cuisine with a little twist and i love how simple and straight forward their menu is. My favourite dishes were Hakkien, Wonton Soup, the steak tartare and the steamed Barramundi. The mapo tofu jaffle is also good but i recommend to share one between two because it is quite filling. Food came out quite fast and service was good too with only two front of house staffs. Will be back!

We went for a quick dinner at this new place adjacent to the Lincoln hotel. The fitout was simple with a few tables, a communal bar/table and a few high bar/tables for 2. The Menu selection was small. Service was great, helpful with good explanation as some items on the menu may seem a little non-self explanatory. The mapo tofu jaffle was playful, crunchy and the filling was so tasty. The clams was spicy and the Chinese donuts provided was great to scoop up the sauce. The meat platter had a good kick of Sichuan pepper chilli and left our mouths numbing but wanting more. A few variety of rice were provided on the menu and the idea of black fried rice using squid ink was way too tempting. Once could just have the rice on its own. Serving sizes were a little small, not the typical Chinese restaurant sizes. There was an offering of beverages but one can also order the beverages from the Lincoln hotel. I didnt used the restrooms but I think one will need to use the restrooms in the Lincoln hotel. Will be back when they have new items on their menu.

Super Ling is super small, so be prepared to wait for a table and go to the toilet at the pub next door. We sampled a delicious variety of contemporary Chinesey treats. Dont go past the mapo tofu jaffle and the barramundi with Sichuan pepper. This is part of the Lincoln hotel, so has the same wine list. Service was excellent.

Delicious food at this new place in Carlton. It is a big disappointment that the service is so so bad. It looks like they are doing you a favor and you are not a customer. Arrogant would be the right word. They know everything better than you, their wine selection is great but you cant appreciate it because you are just a customer. Sad sad . This was my second time and I didnt want to write a bad review because the food is quite good . Hope the wait staff changes
