Ordered a vermecelli noodle bowl through Uber Eats, was delicious! They provide lots of dressing which is great, flavours all go really well together.

Interesting menu unlike your regular Vietnamese. Crab spring rolls were nice & crispy. Eggplant chips were different but soaked in oil & the sauce made the dish really fatty, think a tangy sauce will go better. Peking duck rice paper rolls & Beef Pho were good.

Service needs to step up. Tables were not set. Slow & inattentive. Please clear finished dishes as you serve up more instead of leaving them to cramp up the table.

Enjoyed this place 🙂 I would give it a 3.5 if available as the wonton soup (not picture) lacked a little flavour! But the soft shell crab bao and vermecilli was amazing!

  • The Dear Luncher

Vietnamese people are almost always skinny, there must be a reason for this. The Dear Luncher decided recently to just eat as much Vietnamese food as possible in order to get skinny. After a couple of weeks of this, the conclusion is that its something in the biology and not the food because The Dear Luncher still has three chins.

The Cheese and Kisses went and picked up a stack of dishes from the place known as Blue Ginger (sounds like a p0rno) and wow, what an impressive foodstuffs production unit this place is. The soft-shell crab rice paper rolls were a hit. The chicken ribs, amazing. A hell of a lot of meat on them. The dipping sauce provided for these ribs magnificent. Two different buns were consumed as well. The spicy beef and the rockling fish one. Just bursting with flavour, freshness perhaps a little too much of the dressing provided in the take away tubs, but The Dear Luncher takes full responsibility here. Shouldnt have poured all of it into the bowl.

The Dear Luncher could not fault Blue Ginger with any of the meals ordered. Considering this was in take-away containers, the assumption is that it all must be even better when sitting in. If you happen to be stuck for ideas on Koornang Road and cannot decide which of the 1,612 Asian restaurants to dine in you could do a lot worse than this place.

We love our Vietnamese food and we also love Blue Ginger in Carnegie! We came here for weekend lunch and we loved the House made Hanoi crab spring rolls. These aren’t your typical spring roll pastry, it was instead light, crispy and very thin! The mini bun xeo (Vietnamese pancake) is also a must try – although the outer pancake layer was thicker compared to traditional styles it was definitely a treat and had lots of filling inside. The papaya salad was fresh and we loved the BBQ fish rice paper rolls which were full of flavour and real fish!
