After the outstanding feed we had at the original Paradai Thai, it only made sense for us to try Paradai Thai 2 – as we were expecting it to be just as amazing. The place is not as newly renovated or inviting as the original Paradai Thai, but the food speaks for itself.
For a group of 3, we ordered 3 dishes, and I can certainly say that we were all stuffed by the time we got to the last few spoonfuls of the dishes. The first dish we got was of course the chicken Pad Thai. (My meal is never really complete at a Thai restaurant without ordering the Pad Thai). The noodles were juicy and soft, and quantity of chicken in the dish was more than enough. Next, we had the Pla Phuket- large pieces of deep fried battered fish served with Tamarind sauce. The fish was fried very well, so crunchy that you can actually hear each bite in your mouth! Although, the sauce had a pretty intense flavour, and was a little too salty.
Lastly, from their specials menu, we got the soft shell crab dish. This one was a killer, and everything about it was outstanding! The flavours of the curry infused into the soft shell crab was delicious and comforting (and not spicy at all). Definitely get some rice with this dish, as the curry sauce is excellent.
Overall, we had an enjoyable dinner here. Waiting time for food was a bit longer than expected, but thats probably because of the Friday night rush.

Service was friendly but not as prompt. Food was delicious and plentiful!

Paradai II Thai offers what the best Thai food I’ve had in Melbourne yet. The place was fairly empty and spacious around 5 on a Thursday afternoon. Service was quite quick (considering we were the only dining-in customers).
I ordered the tom yum seafood soup, vegetarian pad thai and chicken green curry. The tom yum seafood soup was quite light and fragrant, and the pad thai had a deep flavour to it, but by far my favourite dish was the green curry! It had such a sweet and savoury flavour and it is by far one of the best green curries I’ve had in Melbourne.
Came here with a bunch of friends so we were able to order a few dishes and try a bit of everything. The food was absolutely amazing! My favourite Thai place so far!! My favourite was the pad see ew and the puffs!
The good thing about this place is that they offer online booking, which I strongly recommended given this place is usually very packed. Although the other day my husband and I got this tiny coffee table that could hardly fit our 2 dishes.
The vibe in this little restaurant is great, very lively. The staff can be a little slow though due to how busy the place is. Food is above average. Will come again if we need a Thai fix.
Recently moved to sibling spice, the space is so nice, you have room to breathe, not so noisy, the food is the same old which is always spot on. Comes out quick & tasty. We will be back
An enjoyable first time dining experience at Paradai II Thai. Ordered the Lamb Curry with coconut rice, Seafood Pad Thai, and Thai Milk Teas.
Lamb Curry with coconut rice: The lamb curry was very flavoursome and smooth. It compliments the coconut rice perfectly. The only con was that there were a few small bones that I found in the dish that I did not expect. Regardless, I would still recommend it.
Seafood Pad Thai: The noodles are a lot thinner than what I’m used to and the dish is definitely less oily compared to other pad thai I’ve tried in the past.
Thai Milk Tea: Standard.
