This place is divine and seemed to be extremely popular with the locals.

Ordered the avocado, labna, lemon and coriander and it was simply perfect ($18). Serving size was a little large for me but was so mouth watering I almost finished it as I didn’t want to waste it. Coffee was extra hot just as I ordered so all in all I could not fault it. I sat outside but the interior decor looked lovely!
    Staff were friendly and welcoming.
I wish this little place was a local for me to go all the time! Would 100% be heading straight back here if u was in the area again.

Had a great breakfast and coffee here on a weekday morning. Food is well presented and venue is fantastic. Only gripe is that coffees came out a bit slow for 10am.

A quaint modern cafe situated in the coolest of environments, a converted historic fire brigade building. There’s seating inside and out and room for a small group of 6 at the back. We were there over a long weekend so it was very busy but we were able to find seats along the bar. Cafe republic is warm and inviting with cheery service. The menu contains classic cafe brunch and lunch options but we chose to go with the few Japanese specials. I must say I was very satisfied with them. The Wagyu minute steak was succulent and tender, the Okonomoyaki was moorish. Coffee is on point too.

Friendly service, however not very accommodating with meal changes when busy. Coffee is great! Food was nice. I had the Reuben and found it to be enjoyable enough.

Friendly service, quick delivery and good food. Add an old fire station and I’m pretty happy. There was a large group out the front which made me think we’d have a bit of a wait. The scrambled eggs with trout was lovely; a very generous serve and quite rich. Great rosti. Fab coffee. We’ll be back.

I never normally write a review but this was so bad I had to. My sandwich was tasteless and bland. I thought the waitress had served me the wrong meal. For $21 I expect to taste something other than doughy white bread and coleslaw. I won’t be back. If I could give it 0 I would.

I have to say I was shocked by how bad the food was here. This place was recommend to me and it was terrible. The waitress was friendly and that is why I’m giving it 1.0. I had the tuna melt for over $14. It was inedible. I took a bite and the bread was soaked in grease. How is this possible. It probably had less than a tbsp of tuna in it. I am still in shock. My partner was very unhappy with his pork roll. It was a cheap supermarket bun full of coleslaw for $21. Highway robbery. Avoid at all costs.
