It was a sun soaked autumn day and we had just attended a 1st Birthday in Caulfield Park opposite but called past Caffe Uffizi to grab a mid afternoon coffee fix. Such a prominent cafe with a relaxed interior. Takeaway coffee was good and strong and despite eating cake all afternoon I felt the need to buy a raspberry white choc muffin which was heated for me. The cafe was in the throws of closing up but the cabinet still had plenty of delectable items such as borek and other savouries. Milkshakes looked great as did the hot chocolates.
Food was OK service was good. Menu has changed. I liked the old one better. Had the schnitzel burger. Schnitzel was a bit over, cooked. Wife had chicken salad that was nice. Coffee good
Had an awesome Bircher here. Best for hot day. Excellent food. Would definitely come back again. We sat at the outdoor area, the friendly waiter/waitress never forgets our order
Average place. Service was friendly but kitchen took 45 minutes before telling us they were out of stock of our order. Wont be back in a hurry.
Always a pleasure coming to this cafe. The food is fresh and tasty, coffee is amazing and the cafe overlooks Caulfield Park which tops it off!
This place has been around for nearly 20 years. It has gone down hill. In the old days when Phil and Angela were around the menu was flexible staff were helpful and more importantly people felt great eating there.
Recently it has changed hands and it is really the pits. People say the coffee is good but the staff are unfriendly the food is not tasty and I think there are better options in the street. I never feel valued or happy when leaving.
It is time for a renovation of the menu, restaurant and staff. This iconic location opposite the lovely Caulfield Park deserves more. With the high level of development on Hawthorn Rd people should vote with their feet and try elsewhere.
The food was absolutely delicious. My friend and I were looking for some healthy and yummy options around the area and that is exactly what we’ve found at Uffizi. Both the brassica bowl and the grilled atlantic salmon with barley were to die for. The waiting staff are also very polite and friendly.
Will definitely be coming back soon!
Great job guys!
