We came here on the recommendation that they don’t mind prams. After already feeling awkward that there were 4 of us with prams (and another already in there) we went to the back of the cafe to be out of the way of a not busy cafe.
We quickly realised we were in the area where service of meals were when the man behind the window started to abruptly advise us that we need to keep that window and back door clear.
With the assistance of wait staff, we were moved to the front of the cafe in front of the coffee machine and fridge. We ordered our coffees and contemplated buying takeaway sandwiches when we were leaving as we had not planned to stay long.
When our coffees had arrived, the same abrupt man from behind the window came out aggressively advising us that we were in the way of the fridge for other patrons to get items and that we were not allowed to be there. Confused by this as the staff had moved us there, we left the cafe without touching our coffees or buying our takeaways.
We ended up going to the cafe across the road with great service and coffee, and were not made to feel like rubbish because we had prams.
Should you have a no pram group policy, maybe add a sign in your window so patrons with prams know to avoid you and not be treated so poorly.
