Read about this place and sounded great, it was even better than that. Amazing ice cream, if you love ice cream and seek quality hand made stuff not crappy factory stuff then youve found your mecca. I just wish it were 7 days so i could go any time i had the craving….

Great set up, friendly service (fantastic explanation of the menu), and the ice cream…. THE ICE CREAM! Possibly the best i’ve had.
As a coffee addict i couldn’t go past the bom jesus, coffee with chocolate and nuts and other things through it, so yum!
Highly recommend if you love GOOD ice cream 🙂

What a treat to have this incredible ice cream shop open in the neighbourhood!
The ice cream sundae is my go to for a weekend treat that’s big enough to share with my boyfriend.
Also love the unique flavours that you won’t find anywhere else!
Will definitely be a regular for the awesome ice cream and super friendly service 🙂

Had a craving for soft serve and upon arrival was told by the unfriendly guy at the counter that it was only used for milk shakes until they perfected the flavour. Fair enough. Asked about other ice cream flavours on offer- the BOM Jesus was supposed to be a single origin coffee flavour but I could not taste any coffee in there whatsoever. The guy offered a half scoop of something else but I declined. Butterscotch was nice but I would not return. $7.50 for two scoops of artisan/ home made ice cream is steep particularly when you get attitude to match and they dont serve chocolate fudge or nuts with the ice cream because apparently the flavours stand alone. Hmmm BOM Jesus needed spiritual intervention to have a modicum of taste.

The flashing neon ice cream sundae sign on the front window is the first thing you notice and boy, does it bring a smile to your face. Its very much reminiscence of an ice cream parlour from back in the days, and your inner child will most definitely be summoned out. Theres a list of flavours behind the counter, and Clinton Serex (the mastermind behind Tuck Shop Takeaway) is there personally to explain all the flavours to customers. With options of milkshake, spiders, ice cream sandwiches and the namesake, sundaes, I was tempted to order one of everything. Common sense prevented me from doing so, and I decided on the Bom Jesus (single origin coffee) ice cream sanga and a scoop of Sprinkles (vanilla coated in 100s & 1000s).

My verdict? Two thumbs up! Delightfully creamy and soft consistency, and flavours that jump out at you. Theres no artificial rubbish whatsoever, and the taste speaks for themselves. The homemade vanilla cookie was a dream too; crunchy without being too crumbly and this holding its shape well, and possessed a delicate vanilla flavour and sweetness.

I only wished $5.50 would get me a much bigger single scoop!

Concept sounds good but if you are to travel afar to this, then forget it. If you are local to Caulfield North and need a very, very casual ice cream bite, then it might be in the cards.
The main photo in broadsheet Melbourne’s post is the sundae with 3 scoops . It wasn’t bad but nothing to shout about. Execution of the concept needs work (not more work)

Creamy, delish ice cream. Prices are a bit steep and serving size is small but that is all excused by how great the flavours and quality. Must eat at.
