This is a pleasant restaurant with lots of room so it accommodates large crowds easily. The yum cha is good but not great. Not quite as much choice as you find in other yum cha options in Melbourne. Comparatively the serving sizes are on the small side.
Went there today just to check it out. Not crowded around 12 noon, Saturday (more people arriving later). The place looks great inside, the fountain and all…Ordered two San Choi Bao’s, spring rolls, fried whitebait (that’s my favorite!), several types of dumplings (xiaolongbao, drunken prawn etc), chicken feet (my wife’s favorite), BBQ pork buns.
What can I say? That was the best xiaolongbao I ever had (and we have been to quite a few Chinese restaurants – including some in China!) – particularly the taste of the juice and meat inside! The rest of the food was good too – flavours, presentation etc. The only thing we didn’t rate high was the tea…Oh well, you can’t win everything! LOL )))
Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Food arrived reasonably quick.
Overall – recommended.
