This place makes some pretty high quality food, although it is a bit over-priced given the portion size. There are quite a few really nice dishes on the menu. The atmosphere is somewhat classy but generally pretty casual. Service is OK.
Good food, love the gobi pekora and the chicken korma, the naan bread is really nice. Good size portions but it’s not cheap. Nice to eat in.
We came as a party of 4 last night and while we have been many times before we haven’t written a review. The service is low key and attentive with good music, which goes well with the attractive dcor. The food does take a bit of time to come to the table but in saying that, it is so worth it. All dishes were excellent, particularly the lamb biryani. already looking forward to going back again, a great place for a relaxed meal with outstanding Indian food.
Hadn’t visited for a while as we didn’t really enjoy last time. All I can say now is WOW! Sensational flavours in the curries, fluffy perfect naan, attentive service. Has to be one of the best Indian restaurants with selection of dishes not often found in Melbourne. Must visit.
Really disappointed. This place has lost st its way since changing owners last year.
The food was awful, wine list cheap and headache inducing.
We’ve been coming here for years, but won’t be back. Onion bhaji tasted like it was cooked in old oil, prawn curry was watery, no flavour and prawns smelt fishy (never a good sign), lamb vindaloo oily
Time to find a new Indian restaurant
What a gem of a restaurant! So warm and cosy inside with some stunning photographs in the restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious and the staff were friendly. We will be back
Visited Bombay by night on a Sunday night. It was very busy as to be expected. The food was nice as it always is however the service was quiet poor. At times there was not a single waiter in the dining area. At one stage we wanted more naan bread and had to wait 10 minutes for a waiter to come out of the back to ask him. It also took over an hour for the food to arrive. Overall Good food poor service 2.5/5.0
