I found this quite pleasant for a shopping centre cafe. Service is good, and the coffee is fine. We generally go for coffee and a cake whilst shopping rather than a meal, and again, for a shopping centre cafe, the cakes are enjoyable. It’s quite a large cafe as well, with seating set back off the walkways, so is a little more relaxed than some of the others.

Almond milk was overpriced. My daughters cup was dirty. When she asked to change the cup they actually argued the fact. Last time to come here. Yuk. They are lucky to get one star

Visited here when we were ‘hanging out’ at Southland (ie too tight area to run our own air con) after Christmas. Looked like everyone else had the same idea.
It’s nice to go to inside a cafe inside a shopping centre, particularly if you’re trying to forget you’re in a shopping centre. Interior-wise, this place was a bit drab, stained fabric bench seats, messy counter, not terrible, just blah.
Surprisingly, food (breakfast) was great. Nothing fancy, but my eggs were perfect, and my dad enjoyed his big breakfast. Unfortunately, from all reports coffee was not great – too milky.

Customer service was bad as staff were blunt and not friendly – did not smile one bit or say thank you or reply when i said thank you. By far the most expensive regular latte i’ve had and did not taste as good either. Would not come back.

Had a Coffee and Eggs on toast. Coffee was good and Eggs on Toast pretty basic. Pretty good for a cafe in a shopping centre. Service and speed of delivery was good.

This little Cafe tucked away in a corner of Southland is cute and charming. The staff are friendly, and you order at the counter. Unfortunately this is where the review becomes average. The food is under seasoned and kind of bland. It’s cooked well, don’t get me wrong, however the taste could use a fair bit of improvement. Overall not a horrible experience but I won’t be back in a rush for the food.

Galiano is a nice spacious cafe to catch up with family and friends or spending some alone time. I ordered an iced coffee without cream. The flavour of the beans was good, however the coffee was a bit too milky, low in strength for my taste, but that’s personal choice. The service is good and the take away glass was surprisingly HUGE compared to so many other places. When in Southland it’s a decent place to crash at for some leisure time.
