Come and try the almond croissant!!! One of the best I must say. Never really tried anything because I know that the almond croissant will always do the trick. Customer service is always great here.
Nice local patisserie. We took away their almond croissant and chocolate croissant. Both were very good size and had lots of filling. Would love to try their other pastries.

Toorak-level French bakery in the hinterlands of Cheltenham. I like good pastry with my home-made macchiatos in the morning, and I’m always rambling around the Melbourne region on my bicycle, exploring the place. That gives me the opportunity to sample bakeries far and wide. One arvo, I had my eye set on the Sicilian pasticceria on Keys Road not far from here. When I got there, it was closed, because it was Monday. I should have checked the ‘Spoon to ascertain the opening hours. Disappointed, I rode toward Southland, reckoning I’d pick up something in the mall-sprawl. Then I noticed the French flag hanging in front of Duchess Anne.
This is a great bakery! No knock on Cheltenham, but what’s it doing way out here? The selection of colourful, well-crafted and taste pastries is worthy of a toff-y suburb. One of the treats I bought was an almond croissant that’s on par with the ones the sell at French Fantasie in Toorak, which is my favourite example of that pastry in the world. (And that includes all the croissant d’amandes I’ve eaten in la vrai France.) This thing is so big I’m not going to try to eat it in one sitting. The almond paste inside is generous, and the dough is light, layered and full of butter. I can’t wait to try the pecan tart and cherry pie slice I picked up too.
