I visited last week, it was my first time, I have never been drawn to it, but we thought we would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The parma was nice and crispy, the sauce was a bit bland but the schnitzel was really good, and the chips were nice too. The prices are really great, it was $20 for a pint, parma and chips. I would definitely come back.
My favourite place to dine in Southland! My mum and I love going there during public and school holidays (for the weekday specials). There is a large variety of (yummy) food to choose from, the atmosphere is calming and the customer service is very good. My favourite dish is the tandoori chicken pizza! Definitely love this place.
Truly Red (Fascist) Corner when you can be banned for life for something that never happened within the confines of the cafe. I confronted a person that threatened me that just happened to be the Chefs housemate.
Beware!!!!
Have been going there occasionally in the past few years but there are less and less reasons to do so. The service is often lethargic – and at times extremely rude (eg., rolling eyes at your customer). The food is at most, tolerable.
Without the lunch deals and supposedly more discounted meals for the seniors (judging by its daytime clientele), I am not sure how this place intends to survive in the coming years.
If youre have a shopping docket and are getting 2 meals for 1 then sure this place is worth your money. But other than that there is little choice in food with lacking flavour. Deserts are not particularly special either.
Good for a quick, easy and cheap lunch amidst shopping. The lunch special is great value and includes a meal, glass of wine and a tea or coffee all for $14.95. Nothing fancy but the food is tasty and the service is efficient.
Just came here to grab a quick lunch. Lots of lunch specials and menu options is great, although what you actually get is pretty average. I mean, it’s not bad, it’s just not great. I don’t think any of the staff actually want to be working here either. Everyone seemed grumpy and never smiled at me once. Cheer up guys 🙂
