Food is rather average. Staff are alright but nothing special. Seating can make it difficult to see specials. I was placed tucked away in a corner and it was very unpleasant. Fine if you have a voucher.
This has been our regular pub since back in the old school decor days. The reservations definitely opened it up more and made it more kid friendly. The staff are always very friendly and food is in a timely fashion but the quality and quantity definitely isnt amazing. For a pub they are the smallest parmas I have ever had. They also forgot my vegetables with my order so I felt very fatty having just a Parma and chips bought to the table then having to pay extra for vegetables afterwards. The steak was more well done then medium rare but the dessert (sticky date) went already. Very very sweet butterscotch sauce mixed with chocolate topping for decoration is a bit hard to mouth even with a sweet tooth.
Where do I start? I had an entertainment book voucher that is different to a shopper docket discount voucher. My voucher was 2 for 1 MAIN meal voucher (up to $40 value.) Upon ordering my meal I was told the second meal can not be more than $25! So i had to change my order and get a salad. Once my salad came out it was notably smaller than expected. The lamb was small and tough, resembling old scraps of worn out leather. My husbands scotch fillet was rare inside even though he ordered medium, it was the fattiest cut of meat we have ever been served, it gave us cardiac flutters just looking at it. The chips were as soggy as a school kids shoelace. What a bizzare joke of a place. At least I got a good chuckle out of it, you know its bad when I go beyond disappointed and I start laughing at the absurdity of it all.
We came here primarily due to there being a playground for our 3yo – on that front at least it didn’t disapoint.
Food though was just terrible – possibly the worst bistro food I can remember having ever. My wife and I ordered steaks – her ‘Medium’ stake came out rare, my ‘Medium-Well’ Rump came out thoroughly dry + overcooked + tasted like it had been microwaved and not actually done on the grill. Meat quality terrible too – tasted like absolute bulk/budget meat – full of fat viens etc. Chips were tasteless/bare minimum quality – pretty sure some sort of no-name brand.
We had a shopper-docket – so the 2nd main was $3 – but even with that it was such garbage quality it felt like we’d overpaid. The problem here is that Tudor inn many years ago (must be about 10yrs since last visit) used to have OK’ish food – but they only charged $15-$20 for steaks so it was great value (assuming shop a docket used). Now the food quality has significantly dropped but steaks have gone up to $32 (other dishes similar price hikes) – not sure what management are thinking here.
If you don’t have a shop a docket (or some sort of 2 for 1 voucher) – you’d be nuts to eat here – if you do I’d still avoid this place anyhow. Go to TGI’s if you want steak or the many other bistros in the area – they are at least trying to server up some passable food.
Was in the TAB side, so maybe it’s better in the bistro.
Service was great, staff are friendly and efficient and they earned it a point.
Had the Parma and was the worst one I’ve eaten in the last 6 years since I was living in Sydney. Small, but worse it was dry and overcooked. Chips were ordinary. Wouldn’t recommend it
Have been here for meals quite often I usually have a steak. Have never been disappointed. Staff are efficient and friendly. Always helpful. Family have had other meals and are always pleased. Good pub food.
Not good, again..
We promised ourselves never again, having been let down by the Tudor Inn on numerous occasions.
But the allure of a kids Halloween Night proved too hard to resist…
Service was bad, some staff were outwardly rude towards patrons.
Food was rubbish, average at best…
The chicken Parma looked like it had been thrown in the fryer, and over cooked. Kids nuggets were the same. Chips soggy. Kids pizza (i thinks that’s what it was supposed to be) was DISGUSTING ! Seriously wouldn’t feed these to our kids..
My roast of the day consisted of half a plate of soggy chips, some drenched salad, 3 slices of dry roast pork and a thimble full of gravy…
We left hungry, and vow (again) never to return…
