Gorgeous winery setting. Lovely spot for dinner in summer – views are gorgeous as the sun is setting. Decor and furniture could do with a refresh to fit the beautiful garden setting. Service was friendly, but a bit slow. Didn’t get offered second drinks in the hour and a half we were there. Shared the salt and pepper squid for entree, which was really juicy and tasty, but a bit over-salted. Cooked well and good serving size. Had the steak for main, which was okay, but I wouldn’t order it again. Especially for $40. The meat had a lot of fat that was too chewy to eat. Jus was too onion-y and I didn’t enjoy it. Chips were bland and under-salted. Husband had the beef cheeks, which he enjoyed – cooked well and a good serving size. Overall, it was okay, but with so many other options in the Yarra Valley, I can’t see us going back soon.
Although our group of four arrived without a reservation, and it was noticeably busy, the staff were friendly and efficient in finding us a table.
Our table ordered two pizzas which were a decent size for sharing and also ordered the beef cheeks and Thai beef salad. No complaints with the quality. Good venue for a casual get together and with a chilled out band, perfect for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
Wouldn’t bother
Went for lunch waitress wasn’t very friendly and kept driving off and coming back which left cook to serve.
No other tables occupied and the table we sat at had crumbs etc on it.
Had salt and pepper squid with salad neither had any flavour and salad had wilted leaves in it.
Toilets need a clean.
Won’t be going back
Love this place. Always good food. Great for a birthday dinner. Nice outdoor eating area. Could do with a update inside to keep up with others but well worth going
Prices were very fair, food was great and tastes really good, service is fast and prompt and staff are always lovely to deal with will definitely be back….
Enjoyed an intimate and relaxed lunch with the family. Beef fillet was excellent and as ordered. Staff friendly and very accomodating.
Disappointing!. A family members birthday , we waited an waited for drinks Oder to be taken, finally, then we waited an waited for our meal oder to be taken . We were only asked once for drinks, then 40 mins later our meals arrived!
The meals we very nice or was it the fact that we were all so hungry by then?
So rather bore people I’ll just say the service was very poor, our plates eventually were cleared an the restaurant was obliging with letting us bring a jelly cake, for dietary reasons , we had to ask for the cake which then took another waiting game, finally out came the cake with candles it was bought to the table with no follow up on plates or spoons? So we found the plates an spoons an helped ourselves? Our booking was at 7 an we ate at 8.30.the staff could not even wish us goodbye , if we had been rude or the restaurant were really busy allowances could be made. But the services was just disgusting!
