We play golf in the area and thought we try Bianchet Winery Restaurant, boy that was a mistake. Bad service, food no taste, rude waitress and when we said that the ribs are dry and needed some BBQ sauce they got upset when brought the sauce it war thrown on the table, we had to ask for top up drinks, and when we complained about the food the waitress said that they did not have any complaints tonight but there was us 5 and anther table of two all night.
The place is a joke and we will never go there again even if it is on the house.

An Average Place Not to Far in to the Yarra Valley

This place has a great looking menu and is only 45 minutes from Melbourne, it also has a decent selection of wines and a large menu to suit everyone. We arrived at 12pm and it was quiet so you would expect service of a good standard. We was seated and offered some water and menus. The menu looked great.

I opted for the Beef Cheek, maybe the wrong dish for this time of year but still pretty tasty. Matt opted for the lamb Pizza and Gareth the sword fish. Mine and Gareth’s dishes arrived pretty quickly and we dug straight in two pleasant dishes! Wine followed shortly, Matt Pizza did not arrive until we were almost both finished so not the best service there. We finished our wine and wanted more however it was so difficult to get the waitress attention as she was constantly looking down and was not aware was there. All 3 were full of flavour however when the did arrive.

We final got her attention and thought we would give it a longer chance and have some deserts. I opted for the lemon cheesecake as I do love it when done well. I struggled to fine any lemon really Matt opted for the Creme Brle and Gareth the sticky date pudding. They all arrived with better timing and they all were good.

With a great Menu and Tasting food it’s hard to mark this place a 3 but the service was so bad it’s loses all the points, The waitress needs to be more aware I wouldn’t mind if the place was full but there was only 3 table of people. I’d be happy to give the place another go though as the wine was yum and the views were stunning.
