My husband and i have been here a few times over the years and i honestly can’t say we’ve had a bad meal here. All the entrees, mains and desserts we’ve had have been spot on and i do not hesitate to recommend this place.
If it’s oon the menu, try the beef cheeks! It was exactly what i wanted on a cold winter night.
Just rolled out of here with a full belly. Left my phone at home so couldnt take any photos, grabbed two dessert ones with my fiancs phone at the end of the night. Atmosphere is nice, staff are tentative and friendly and this place is a little classy for the area, theres nothing else like this around. We were the only ones there with children but at age 11 & 9 they were well behaved and quiet and it was nice to sit and have a family meal in a nice place. My fianc had the beef cheeks and loved his meal, I did get a sneaky bite in too and yes very flavoursome. I had the salt and pepper calamari which was nice, cant do much with a basic dish like that, would have liked to order something different but nothing was grabbing me. The boys both had buttermilk popcorn chicken. All 4 plates were devoured. After not being able to decide on desserts we chose the share plate and got everything we struggled to decide on – so good! Boys got Choc Mousse with fairy floss and chocolate brownies with salted caramel, mousse and ice cream. At just under $200 for our meal it was a nice treat, pricey compared to your typical pub meals but its the quality food and nice atmosphere that makes it worthwhile, its not something we do very often.
We loved the food and menu here so much we sat half the morning so we could fit in sweet and savoury! Maybe a bit of modernisation to the menu and venu would bring it up to speed but no complaints all the same.
