We had an interesting dinner, the place looks boring but it has a great selection…if you can read Chinese, thank goodness our friend can read enough to help us. We also used Google translate. We ordered way to much but did not realise it and they did not say we ordered too much but then they could not speak much English at all. The skewers are amazing and such a random selection but was shocked with a $143 bill at the end. We would go back but would not order so much. Lol

Oh God, yum.. It’s not pretty. Fluorescent light fittings, hospital-white tiles, bare walls. The food’s not great to look at, either, and it’s fair to say that neither will you be while you eat it. But, inside this unassuming shopfront on the unassuming end of Clayton road, lies unparalleled deliciousness. Seriously. Drool-worthy skewers of lamb, cumin-scented and at once spicy, salty and smoky from the barbecue. Rose-pink, sweet and tender BBQ pork. ‘Steamed bread’ in little briquettes, toasty on the outside, fluffy and sweet on the inside, slathered in a fragrant chilli jam. Little bundles of enoki mushrooms wrapped in bacon for the umami hit of the century… I never would’ve stepped in here had I not been taken by another ‘meat stick’ aficionado. I don’t even know what it’s called. I just know that some times I need a little meat fix – and this is the only place that’ll do. Not suitable for vegetarians.
