Had lunch with the mrs, very clean vibrant ambience however no bathrooms inside. Ordered the matcha latte, cappuccino, karaage burger, takoyaki octopus balls and teriyaki teishoku, the matcha latte was spot on, nice balance of green tea powder, cappuccino was standard, the karaage burger was good, brioche bun was too sweet for my liking however the karaage chicken was spot on, I asked for spicy mayo on the side and they added spicy mayo to the burger with extra mayo on the side so they got my order wrong there, the takoyaki octopus balls were delicious, top notch and teriyaki teishoku salmon was average, the salad was standard, rice was standard and the salmon was average plus the salmon was very small. The miso soup that comes with the teishoku is pretty average as well, wanted more of the vibrant miso flavor which wasnt there. Overall service was ok but not prompt, food was average in taste however their presentation was very good and their decor was lovely

    Ordered:
    – almond matcha croissant

Pastry was super duper dry, could taste the almond but not the matcha! Would not recommend the croissant, maybe their other dishes are better??

Japanese style cakes. Coffee and an extensive tea and drinks list. Nice cups, cutlery, and crockery. Simple, complementing dishes on the menu and a baked curry rice that will solve all your problems. What isn’t there to love??

Cons – sometimes you have to wait a little while after sitting down for menus. Still waiting for bathrooms to be finished.
