A friend suggested Man O Slawa for dinner, telling us that it is one of the best Pakistani-Indian restaurants around. After my meal here, I must agree with him. The first thing you will notice is how busy this restaurant is. Despite the crowds, the food arrived promptly and while service was a bit disorganised, it was understandable and forgivable due to the hectic pace and the friendliness of the staffs.Starting off with crunchy samosas that were generously filled and full of flavours, expectation was high for the mains. The butter chicken and palak paneer both showcased incredible depth of flavours – the butter chicken had kick to it, while the palak paneer was a creamy rich concoction. The chicken pieces were also cooked to tender perfection. An order of flaky garlic naan was mandatory to mop up all the delicious curry. The wonderfully spiced lamb biryani was the highlight of the meal. The meaty flavour of the lamb shone through, and the rice was fluffy and maintained its individual shape and chew. Also fantastic was the chicken malai boti – succulent chunks of chicken, bursting with flavours from the herbs and spices, and with a smoky undertone from being char-grilled. We didn’t think that we would be able to fit in dessert but after noticing almost every other customer ordering the kulfi, we knew we had to get them. So much more creamier than ice cream or gelato, it was a decadent way to end the meal. Highly recommended!

As a Dhal Makahini fan I was left disappointed with the the curry. It tasted water down and lacked flavour. The other vege curry and naan however was better.

  • Little Bit Of Everything

Came back here for dinner after a very long time and the food tastes exactly how it used. I mention that because consistency with food taste is something a lot of restaurants fail to keep up with. As expected there were few people waiting before us but it wasn’t that hard to find a table. We ordered Pani puri, Charcoal special mixed platter, Mutton saag, Haleem, Brain masala, tandoori bread and Ras malai. Everything was made to perfection I definitely can’t pick a favourite because I loved everything that was served.Friendly staff, it does get busy and hectic with so many customers but they are pretty quick with their service.

Been here twice and both times have been wonderful, staff are always very welcoming and pleasant to speak to. There is quite a lot of options on the menu, but each dish is always presented quite generously and freshly made. The food is traditional with lots of flavours present. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will continue to return.
