Glad to have such a great restaurant so close to home! We’re finally able to get decent xiao long bao and sheng jian bao in the South East 🙂

My wife and I got the all you can eat yumcha on groupon. We went for lunch on saturday.
Staff were very friendly and were prompt to fill up our waters when were running low.

There was quite a few options on the menu broken up between small, medium, large and supreme categories.

The food was nice without being amazing.

Unfortunately they were sold out of most of the supreme items inculding the pan fried or steamed pork/chicken dumplings and the Xiao long bao which happen to be my favorite things on the menu. It wish I could have tried them.

Had the all-you-can-eat yumcha using a voucher. The lovely waitress that served us provided good customer service and was friendly; we were well looked after. Yumcha was stock standard but definitely decent quality. For a Friday arvo, the restaurant was fairly busy which gives us a good peering at what other patrons ordered Will be coming back for their main ala carte dishes next!

We tried this place on recommendation. Upon opening, it was almost at full capacity. Instead of yum cha, we opted to order from the menu.

Dishes we tried were: pork ribs in sweet vinegar, stir fried lamb with chilli and cumin, stir fried green beans in pork mince, xiao long bao, Shanghai fried noodles and special fried rice.

Besides the xiao long bao which tasted sour and off, the dishes were seasoned and cooked well. The noodles were exceptional.

Service was lacking. I had to seek out a waiter at every turn. The experience was also marred by the state of the toilet.

The yum cha trolley hardly got to us and when it did, there was hardly anything left. We were immediately offered dessert when we sat down. Are they serious?

We were given cold soup with no spoon, and when we asked for one, they gave us a dessert spoon fifteen minutes later. The dumplings fell apart as soon as we picked it up. The fillings were mushy and the skin was thick.

When we were ready for dessert, they told us our session was finished and there were no desserts left. After questioning them, they offered us egg tarts and tofu dessert. The egg tarts were horrible – fake yellow and tasted nothing like egg. They gave us tofu dessert with no spoon and when we asked for one, they gave us a table spoon.

This restaurant does not know how to do authentic yum cha. Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT BUY the yumcha Groupon. It’s a complete waste of money.
1 hour yumcha all you can eat session, only seated at 12.40pm for the 12.30pm session. Because we were seated in the middle, food was almost always gone by the time it came to us.
Food quality was really bad, har gao (prawn dumpling) skin is so thick. Some of the dumplings looked like they had just bought a pack of Frozen mixed veggies from supermarket and wrapped it up as dumplings. Xiao long bao was dry and fatty. The pastry was cold.
    Never going back…

Came for dinner with my husband. We had a few plates to share. The pork dumplings, fried rice, Chinese broccoli with garlic and the spicy sauteed pork belly dish. The dumplings were really juicy, and had a lot of flavour. Probably the best pork dumplings Ive had in the area. The fried rice was alright. And the pork belly dish had nice flavour. And the portion sizes were very decent.
