We are regulars here. Although the decor leaves much to be desired, it’s not an issue if you’re just getting take out. They are always generous with portions and prices are very reasonable. The only thing that would make it even better is if they just put more flavouring on their chips and cooked them crispier.

Pretty average greasy fish and chip shop. The potato cakes were just thin wafers of batter; I’m not convinced there was any potato content. The fish batter was strangely chewy. Chips were ok though. It annoyed me that they were ‘cash only’ but had gone to the trouble of installing an ATM. Surely it’s not that hard to get an EFT terminal in 2016? Smells like tax evasion!
My family has been going to Pisces since we moved into the area 11 years ago. We have shopped around the neighbourhood at the various other outlets within 3 or 4 Ks but returned to Pisces as stayers when we realised that they have the crispiest potato cakes, fluffiest chips, generous portions and friendliest service.
On a trip to arguably the home of fish and chips, England, more specifically Lincolnshire with its large fishing industry, we realised via the abysmal offerings there, that we missed the hell out of Pisces and looked forward to our next trip to our local strip.
My kids are off to buy some school holiday nosh from there right now in fact.
